9/11 and the banality of it’s evil narrative.
This banality of evil is intensely dangerous. Inevitably, the lack of truth gives rise to subtle oppression, and then eventually to obvious genocide. Those leaders that have taken their countries down such a road cannot sleep well at night. They think of nothing but murder and retribution.
Small, furtive murders become large and obvious ones over time. It is inevitable. It is human nature. Those who might have stopped it grow afraid. Those who are supposed to report on it, grow too frightened to do so.
Those who might challenge the broadening evil are two few and increasingly fragmented. Often they are imprisoned or even killed. Over time, such killings are taken for granted. An entire security apparatus is erected to eradicate a certain class of people – truth-tellers above all.
A controlled detonation/demolition to clear a site for future construction. Possibly in Las Vegas where the media show this kind of thing as news.

I agree with what you all are saying about it being building #7. My son was visiting a friend about 1-2 blocks from it approximately, one week before 9/11. The friend died two years ago from lung cancer (an non-smoker).

All very true in your update. What to do? It has to be constantly reinforced and shown and talked about to keep it in the minds of people. That’s what the Fox News type of broadcasters do. They keep hammering their agenda. So must those that want the truth.
This observation is from a non American and admittedly left of centre.
What I saw was hope in the people in 2008 with the election of a President that many believed would be honest and forthright in dealing with his electorate.
What I see now is continued action in Afghanistan, new action in Libya, possibly Syria next. Wasn’t it Dwight D. Eisenhower who said beware the military, industrial complex or words to that effect?
Why would a decorated General and President make such a comment? Because he knew what he saw around him and most probably saw the ground work be laid. JMO
A friend of mine lives near Shanksville and there was alot of talk about seeing something that looked like a missle. We’ll never know the truth about that either. Convenient that building 7 contained info on big business scandels that quietly disappeared.
My mother worked in that building. I grew up in that building. I have brothers of friends who died helping others in that building.my husband worked in 4 WTC. My bedroom faced the trade centers for my teen life. I grew up in this area. My family suffered enough. Our friends suffered enough.The borough of Staten Island is filled with streets named after residents killed in the line of duty saving our friends and family. My friend was second in command to the police chief and risked his life numerous times that day, months laterand years later when he came down with a tumor the size of a coffee can. I was in a pipe explosion in grand central due to a watermain break. Smoke rose above the buildings as we ran thinking we were under attack. My brother was deployed 3 TIMES since then, earning a bronze star but not telling us because helping others is why he was there. I had to make funeral arrangements for a woman with a newborn because her husband never came home. My mother had a breakdown when she learned an entire elevator of colleagues could not get out. She witnessed many people jumping out of windows to their deaths. My daughter had to go to counseling for years and would not step foot out of my sight for years when only a month before she was in hawaii at 5 years old swimming with sea turtles. Yet, we have not lost one family. Member. Hate will not bring back who we love. Distrust will not allow my daughter, now 16 to go with courage to explore her dreams
Blame will not make it easier for my family to hug my brother and put him in the Lords hands when he leaves us again.
As a new yorker, we spent years healing, losing faith in our president, wondering if we will ever be safe and knowing the answer. But we stay. We find the silver linings and we pray that no matter what, we don’t let the past get in the way of our future. It won’t make us any safer to blame. It will only make us hate.

Skylar, I understand and I honor your right to feel this way. But as you can see from the vid I posted, not all 9/11 families feel the same. A crime was committed against you, your family, your friends, your city, and our country. 3000 people were murdered, and countless millions since then as a result of the lies that were told about this brutally traumatic criminal act. This kind of slaughter demands justice and there can BE no justice without truth, which requires assigning blame to the guilty parties. No justice, no peace.
Its all good on my end. I have actually been waiting at the edge of my seat to read your take on the season finale. I know it is off topic so I don’t want to take away from this post, but I am looking forward to reading what you have to say. In regards to this post, I respect where you are coming from. Every situation always needs to be observed from different perspectives. You provide a much needed venue for us examine what we see and to re examine it for better understanding.
exactly either that finale proved that True Blood is actually total fluff and not deep or it proved everything Sunny has said.
Mmm.. Not sure what we had to see, but it was nice to see those demolitions, its kind of buitiful when it is well done and the building dissapears so easily… Of course it has to be very well controled which pilars must be exploded in order for the building to fall straight down and not invade its surroundigs, but that is very different to the twin towers, which appeared in the video, as these feel because the METAL pilars disolved because of the heat of the fire created by the plane crashes… However it was “lucky” that at least the didn’t fall the their sides, which they could have had… It could have been much worse…
If the structure had been done in concrete they might have not fell, probably the crash wouldn’t have destroyed enough of the structure… But it might have been imposible to built to those heighs with stone, although there are another twin skycrapers done with that material.
OT – Sunny, I hope we can look forward to your review of 4:12.

Ugh, it’s taking WAY longer than I ever intended. I had most of it done when I realized I had gone off on a tangent and lost the plot. LOL. I need to pare it down and re-focus, but it’s coming I promise!
