In real life, real heroes don’t get glorified in the ‘official’ narrative of our culture as spoon fed us by the corporate media. Instead, repulsive straw men fakers like Bill, Kitch, Steve Newlin, Senator Finch, and Dick Cheney are shoved down our throats as our national heroes. Like it or lump it, bitchez!! When they do talk about heroes the folk all agree on, they emasculate and assassinate their characters to discredit them as exemplified in JFK and MLK. Adding insult to injury, the libel and slander was heaped on after ‘they’ assassinated both men for real in cowardly acts of ambush murder. Alas, nothing ‘they’ can do will ever dim our love for the men whose true glory lay in their wisdom and restraint.
All you frustrated True Blood fans out there now know what it feels like to be deeply, acutely aware of real life parapolitics. And I think that, my dears, is the point.

Can’t keep up much lately or leave long comment due to medical issues but just wanted to comment on photo under bigger men of Jason and Eric. They almost looked like mirror images or as if they were looking at the other as they would in a mirror. Interesting.

I was just noticing the other image, the one from Sookie’s dream, and realized that not only did Bill intrude in it, he engineered it. Look at the piano. It’s where Sookie’s TV should be. Bill takes away her televisions and Eric gives her new ones.
I also noticed that Sookie was laid out on the dining room table – Bill sees her for her blood only, and literally has her served up for a meal in this engineered dream.
This is because what Bill really wants is Eric. Bill wants to fuck AND kill Eric, while he eats Sookie.
This is how Eric is playing Bill like a bass fiddle. Eric is stroking that itch, that hankering Bill has for him. He’s been doing it since the minute FAE first bowed down to Bill in Sookie’s parlor, all shirtless and sexed-up.
Sexy mofo, ERRRYbody wants him.
There has been a lot of talk on other sites/tumblr after the episode about how Bill seemed quite “interested” in Eric after the whole aorta-sucking scene. Seems like a lot of people picked up on this. I remember all of the clues from S3 with Cooter regarding Bill’s sexuality, which I forgot about until this Ep. 11.
Great, I just chocked on my lunch. Don’t know if was the mention of the aorta straw or Bill metaphorically licking his lips.
And remember the couple Bill and Lorena prayed on in the 20′s, when Bill brought the guy through he was already half undressed and had fang marks.

As frustrated as I am getting with reading the negative reviews in the TB fandom, I will agree with one phrase that I keep reading “They’re shoving Bill down our throats every chance they get”. I can’t believe how involved the whole story is, between the show, internet sites, dvd/bluray extras, comic books, promo vids, and even the hbo store. They’re all trying to convey the same message on the surface – they want us to buy into this Billshit.
I hate to admit that I watched S1 in 2 days, and was almost swept up in the Harlequin romance that they presented as Bill…..so clever. (I have obviously seen the error in my ways since then.) I think a lot of these so-called “Bill-lovers” got caught up in it too, and are unwilling to admit that their original impressions are so grossly inaccurate. It’s hard to see someone that you have put on a pedastal for who they really are….
I see this so often with our so-called “role-models” that we see pimped out on tv. The more I hear their praises being sung, the more suspect I get. I just hope that in the end, it becomes very apparent that Eric has been the unsung, albeit flawed, hero.

I watched season 1 all in one night! It was the 2009 New Years Marathon, and I was hooked in as well. It just seemed like a hokey, atmospheric romance and I loved it! But after watching it through two more times before season 2 aired, I felt there was a lot more to it than met the eye.
I’ve often called the highly interactive True Blood an ‘ARG’, or Alternate Reality Game.
I started to see what you call lookeys in the first season. The very first one I noticed was the picture in Sam’s office of the dog protecting the blonde girl. That is what started me looking below the surface and drew me to the internet to see if anyone else was noticing the little clues. It took me until beween season 2 and three to remember the references to the website Bloodcopy.com. I had to search through my browsing history to find the addy. It never occured to me to check back with that website and I was just floored when I did last year.
The ground was laid from the very first episode for the mind-fuck!

I think that that right there is one of the main reasons people don’t believe that there could be deeper conspiracy under the surface of True Blood, that there’s a long-con mindfuck going on in reality. Because the entire propaganda machine would have to be perfectly tuned to play the song and dance AB would need them to play in order to fool the audience. Who takes Messing With The Audience outside the bounds of the show, and into real life and marketing and interviews? Not only is it so hard to believe that so many people could be involved in so seamless a conspiracy, that almost everything Alan Ball says in public about True Blood/Bill is trolling/lies/deliberate misinformation, but it would also be unprecedented. I mean, LOST also attempted the Mind Fuck show, but their showrunners were up front about it, they never tried to say “Oh, no man, they’re just on a regular old island.” and they could never shut up about how everything had a meaning and clues were all over the place. Of course, turns out that TPTB were mostly making shit up as they went along, and the audience was just seeing what they wanted to see. They built up too much fervor for something that was never there.
It would be quite cunning for AB to take a lesson from that, and not make the same mistakes with TB. And I think people are used to cunning on TV anymore.
I never watched Lost, but I’ve heard enough about how everything went down to be certain that AB would absolutely avoid going this route at all costs. Makes you wonder if the actors know what’s really going on as well? SM mentioned how they shoot tons of extra scenes to be used later on….they all seem like smart people, they must know something….
Right on, Exit. This is why my tagline is “Digging deeper, much much deeper into Alan Ball’s remarkably loving covert mind control operation.” It used to be ‘mind control experiment’ but we’ve gone beyond that into full operational ARG.
If even one element of the game were winking at the narrative it would all be for naught. The proof of conspiracy is in the uniformity of the resolutely illogical ‘message’ emanating from every ‘sector’ of True Blood’s ‘official’ universe.

Heroes are ordinary men and women that do extra-oridinary things. And they have faults.
Jason for all his faults, loves his sister and would do anything to protect her. Sure, sometimes he’s self centred, he’s human. If he wasn’t he’d walk on water and there is only one who did that. NOT Bill.
He is vilified and discounted by many as a horndog, selfish and not too bright, but there is more to him than his shortcomings, just as his doppel.
He is loyal to his friends, just as his doppel.
At his core he is an extremely decent man, just as his doppel.
Unlike those who profess a love of humanity, and pretend to walk on water for the greater good. But they profit, both materially and professionally, from tearing down those that at least try to make things better. And they have no faults according to their PR. God like they present themselves and viewers/media don’t ask deep questions.

Sadly that’s the tragedy of Jason/ Eric ‘s character, people just take the surface of their characters at face value no matter what else theyve been shown on screen.
Likewise, they take the face value on Bill’s character as the supposed remorseful, redeemable hero no matter what else they’ve been shown on screen.
Like most people don’t want to think about politics, most people don’t want to think too hard about their entertainment.

True dat! There’s also something with the imagery of Terry on top of Andy that’s been repeated several times this season. I think it’s foreshadowing someone overseeing Jason’s intervention with Sookie and assuming something incestuous is going on. Crystal, maybe? Well done,Sunny. I happened to read an AB interview in the new CH companion book and he actually mentioned he would never spoon feed his viewers with information. It is in there and we have to find it. He had more to say…..I was really happy to read his perspective on the character development of Eric and Bill. I felt a glimmer of hope that he truly does get it. And yes, I agree with you. He is screwing with us. He has created a world which can be understood only when we dig deeper than the surface. He won’t spell it out for us but the answers are there.

First of all, thank you so much for all you do. I am sure this takes a tremendous amount of work, just gauging from the work it takes me to just ponder all of this!
Do you think we ever WILL get any knd of big reveal given that in real life any revelatory “truths” are sent right back into the spin zone.
Yes, right down the memory hole go inconvenient truths. But the truth is out there for anyone who is interested. And even though nothing ‘official’ is ever done about high crimes, just knowing and understanding these crimes and who is responsible for them prevents us from being deceived and used out of ignorance. What we don’t know..can’t hurt them.
What’s giving me heart palpitations right now is that ‘they’ kill men like Eric.
No wonder we are a Prozac Nation! One of the side effects of any antidepressant is a feeling of apathy. It’s my personal belief that we are hard wired to seek truth which alternately inplies that we know BS when we see. The cognitive dissonance we experience in this media run world is incredibly overwhelming. Doublethink becomes reachable while medicated. Hmmm, I wonder if this is why it is “possible” for Sookie to love both of them.
Oh boy, don’t even get me started on psychiatric drugs, many of which were developed from the work of ‘spychiatrists’ who had conducted inhuman experimentation. It’s all about how to keep us controlled, docile, and amnesiac. Sound familiar?
