Not all conspiracy theories are created equal and being a ‘buff’ from childhood has it’s advantages in separating the wheat from the chaff. At nearly 48 years of age, I long ago dismissed the disinformation laden rabbit holes of shape-shifting lizard people and ancient alien/Illuminati bloodlines and the like. Unfortunately it’s nearly impossible to do serious conspiracy research without encountering these road blocks along the way. As for UFO’s and aliens my only interest in this area stems from what the abduction phenomenon reveals about covert government mind control operations, programs [pogroms?] which often utilize hypnotically induced ‘screen memories’ to cover-up illegal covert operations of all kinds, including the program’s own existence.
In my opinion ‘screen memories’ is a perfect term to describe many True Blood scenes. These are deceptive scenes that the audience is presented with from poor mind-controlled Sookie’s narrative pov that serve the function of overlaying, obscuring and distracting from much more disturbing realities. Art imitating life.
Because of UFO’s, lizards, and the Illuminati most people dismiss ALL conspiracy ‘theories’ as the ravings of frothing lunatics, whom we are told like clockwork [especially around anniversaries of momentous 'events'] are comforted by visions of powerful blood thirsty elites who gather in dark rooms to conspire against the masses. These so-called lizard theories and such like which garner the brightest media spotlight, [along with 911, but that's another story] act as a poison pill for wide acceptance of legitimate, rigorous research into documented conspiracy FACTS that affect us all. Facts that would be too inconvenient for high muckety-mucks and their friends in higher places to allow wide public exposure. By using these theories aka ‘conspiratainment’ as the exemplar of all conspiracy research, we see the art of distraction–black propaganda, disinfo, and psychological operations– in action. The magicians other hand. The men in charge of the narrative can be seen behind the curtain once you know what to look for. They control what discussions are allowed in the mass media, when, where, and by whom, and they create, sponsor, and prop up the bread and circuses that intentionally block the view of the masses and prevent us from thinking about what’s REALLY going on in the Deep State .
Who more than Bill is benefitting from the collective amnesia of the citizens of Bon Temps?
What you look for are under the table shenanigans they NEED you to ignore so they can enact their nefarious agendas unimpeded. Disasters and other ‘shocks’ to the system that just so happen to make a few men even richer and more powerful than they were before deserve at least a second glance, don’t you agree?
Soon after the end of True Blood’s season two, me and Renee from TAP began discussing the possibility that Alan Ball was exploring the strong vein of covert fascism in American leadership and it’s attendant brutal exploitation of the masses. Without much to go on at that point, it seemed that with the revelations about Bill and with Maryann providing a stupefyingly amoral spiritual crisis distraction for the entire population of Bon Temps, calling True Blood an exercise in Parapolitical Paranormal Paranoia didn’t seem out of order. A blending of the meat and the pudding, if you will.
The paranormal paranoia is right there on the frothy top for all the world to see and acts as the distraction from the deeper political message. Art imitating life.
Having bragged about my veteran researcher status, I’m now ashamed to admit that at the time it aired I missed the point of Jason’s paperclip caper. I should have recognized the significance immediately, for Operation Paperclip marked the dawn of the age of the Nazi Scientist and not so coincidentally, the ascent of fascism in the halls of power.
You may think that last assertion is hyperbole, but as the result of Paperclip, which brought to our shores Nazi scientists who had conducted brutal experiments of every inhuman kind upon starving Jews and others in the death camps, abominations and affronts to decency such as the following are all well documented conspiracy facts of our national security state: Manchurian Candidates, severe trauma based mind control experimentation upon children, including sexual abuse and the use of co-opted or cooperative black magic-practicing cults to instill obedience out of shock and fear, drug experiments on unwitting adults including spiking town water supplies and BREAD both here and abroad, administering of an array of lethal diseases to unwitting/unwilling human subjects, and many other heinous experiments that are only hinted at in available documents. I’ve given links to most of these subjects all over TBU so there is no need to link them again, but for your own eye-opening education I urge you to google these terms and satisfy yourself of their veracity.
As to how I think this all links to True Blood, I’m happy to say that while Jason’s paperclip game was a very nice if cryptic clue, season 4 has provided us with even more fodder to ponder and dots to connect. The first step to escaping the matrix is being driven to learn the meaning of cryptic references.
Of Nazi linked occultism, we’ve had many subtle but decisive hints, such as the focus on Bill’s left-handedness, smoke streaming from his chimney when there are no apparent corresponding fires in his fireplaces, a season rife with human sacrifice in exchange for power, occult symbolism, and spirit beings, one of whom is bent on genocide. It is NOT necessary for you to believe in these black magic tenets to believe that certain elite ‘factions’ DO believe in and practice dark rites and rituals, including ritualized mass genocide, expressly to gain power.
The story arc of the other spirit being Mavis is highly instructive. I believe she was an imposter who was deliberately sent to distract Lala from getting involved with the witch ‘war’ [h/t FrenchK.] and prevent him from throwing a magical wrench into Bitler and M/A’s plot. I believe Mavis was compelled by Bitler’s black magic to do as she was told ala Claudine and every vampire who falls under M/A’s control.
Didn’t you find it very strange that Mavis’s baby was still swaddled? It would be highly unusual for cheap fabric such as would have been used for an illegitimate African American baby during the Depression, to survive intact after being buried for over 80 years. Were the skeletal remains moved to the property from BT cemetery? Or better yet, was the fire at Arlene and Terry’s apartment really about evacuating the area to retrieve the remains? The place DID seem haunted. Maybe Bill had Bucky dig them up and moved to Hoyt’s property as part of an elaborate distraction perpetrated by a clearly fascist king who then killed his henchman to keep his secrets. This second hostage crisis in 24 hours just so happened to ensnare nearly every character in the drama and kept them all away from the REAL SHIT going down. This is not bad writing, these events are hinting at and covering up deeper, more disturbing realities that we barely get a glimpse of before the eye of the camera looks away.
Of particular interest is the serious shit going down with their loved one Sookie. She’s been conveniently injured again and Bill was, as usual, johnny on the spot to ‘rescue’ her with his blood.
Sam is off camping with Luna, and NO FUCKING BODY IS MINDING MERLOTTE’S!!! Yet there are still customers, and nobody seems to know or care what the hell is going on.
Something ain’t right. TWO hostage crises, the ‘miracle’ of the ghost and the hidden grave, all of it is beginning to feel like another stage play to me. There is too much going on, a veritable bombardment that has the smell of expert political distraction deeply rooted in the tenets and symbols of the occult. The magicians other hand. And as usual, ordinary people are paying the price for these dangerous mind games.
Jason thought something was wrong. His bewildered face when Andy had Terry pinned to the ground was heartening. He’s beginning to get it, he’s wondering WTF is going on here? Finally! Someone sees that things are not adding up! What exactly was Jason seeing that so confused him? What caught his eye? He can’t have been surprised at Andy’s aggressiveness–he knows Andy is tweeking on the shit! Is Jason wondering if they are ALL tweeking on the shit?
I believe that in conjunction with glamouring the denizens of Bon Temp, both in person and on television, Bill’s blood has been put in the water and what we are witnessing now is an EXERCISE, a COVERT OPERATION in mind control. Never mind experiment, we’ve moved well beyond that.
Lala has powerful mojo, this much we could see at the coven and in Mexico. But conveniently, ever since his return he and Jesus act like the coven never existed, and this after Jesus worked so hard to recruit him into the ‘witch cult’ in the first place. And after taking the trip to Mexico for this express purpose why are they ignoring the coven right when the SHIAT they prepared for is HITTING THE FAN? Jesus and especially Lafayette have been completely left out of the witch action and nobody, specifically TARA, EVER comments on his absence. I believe, as Frenchy pointed out, that Bitler knows Lala could very well foil the entity posing as ‘Antonia’ {Maryann}and skinwalking as Marnie. Not only that, just having Lala around M/A could be dangerous in that he would recognize MA and begin putting two and two together. Which would not be good for Bitler’s rise to higher power.
Lala is the key to the imminent phase of deeper revelations. Mavis may have been an imposter but she was still a spirit whom Lala could see, hear, and act as a medium. [Mavis did her job well and perhaps the remains of her child was her reward] And even though Lala was too late to foil the false flag assassination attempt via Manchurian Candidate which can only benefit Bitler ala the Reichstag Fire, and too late to stop Sookie from being used as target practice, it’s not too late for him to dig a little deeper and stop Bitler’s corrupt march to total power.
We should all be so empowered.
To be continued…

I’m totally diggin’ this! Nazi Germany human experiments is something I’ve researched for my own fictional writing and because of my interest in government cover-ups. I’ll be up late tonight reading through your links.
The writers are masters at imagery. The first thing I thought of when I saw the smoke from the chimney was of the WWII concentration camps. There’s actually been a lot of images and phrases and self-loathing this season (and past ones) that scream Bitler. So many.
I’m so glad you brought up Jason’s reaction to Andy — and how it would NOT surprise him because of his knowledge of V! Just like it doesn’t surprise me Jason is catching on — just like Eric. But WHAT was IT specifically that caught Jason’s eye is the question! I keep looking at that scene and trying to see if anything clicks. The focal point seems to be the position of the bodies — and Terry’s legs flapping.
I’m curious Sunny: do you think we saw the real Antonia in the mirror at Moon Goddess Emporium — when she was dressed in white and looking sad?
Again, another great, thought-provoking post!
But WHAT was IT specifically that caught Jason’s eye is the question! I keep looking at that scene and trying to see if anything clicks. The focal point seems to be the position of the bodies — and Terry’s legs flapping.
I agree. I had to go back over it again to make sure my eyes weren’t deceiving me but it seemed there was something strange about the way Terry kept flapping his legs. It’s not out of the question that Jason was seeing something we could not see.
I’m curious Sunny: do you think we saw the real Antonia in the mirror at Moon Goddess Emporium — when she was dressed in white and looking sad?
I do, and we have to ask ourselves why she didn’t possess Marnie THEN. It seems she was PROTECTING Marnie at that point, and Marnie only became possessed once inside Bill’s house, which is reason enough to be suspicious of the identity of the entity.
@BK & sunny – Terry’s legs flapping.
I’m wondering if Jason has seen something that looked exactly like Terry’s legs flapping but it has to do with Sookie or someone close to him. Something about it looked familiar to him. Just guessing.
Fabulous again sunny.
Here and at TAP the spectre of MA keeps coming up. It is where TB took a drastic departure from the books. The characters were all there but they had different agendas. How many times have all of us read that S2 apart from IWRU is the least favourite season up to this point. Many fans won’t even watch past 2.09. Yet at the end two patrons of Merlotte’s tell us exactly what happened. Scrunchie lady and her friend tell us it’s in the water that’s why she’s sticking with Mountain Dew.
As for Operation Paperclip…Nazi scientists were given false employment and political biography so they could work in the USA.
I am certain that will eventually be proven to be the same with William Compton. As you have stated in previous posts, he is NOT the real Wm. Compton. The poorly photo shopped civil war photo of his platoon is now obviously part of the false persona.
Which brings us back to the question of who is Wm. T. Compton?
I am confident we will find out.
Again….FABULOUS SUNNY.
As for Operation Paperclip…Nazi scientists were given false employment and political biography so they could work in the USA.
Yep, they were bleached aka whitewashed which is the same treatment Bill has been receiving all season.
Many fans won’t even watch past 2.09. Yet at the end two patrons of Merlotte’s tell us exactly what happened. Scrunchie lady and her friend tell us it’s in the water that’s why she’s sticking with Mountain Dew.
Every TB conspiracy theory can be confirmed by comments from characters.
For this reason, I believe whatever Bill is up to it has to do with ‘synthesizing’ Fae blood and ‘planting seeds’ among the hybrids.

You guys are brilliant, and I am consistently amazed by your insights. Speaking of “Bitler’s” quest for power, maybe he has made more progress than he lets on, even to Nan. When Bill gives the true death sentence to the vampire caught on video, the vampire says, “I will report you to the Authority!” Bill replies sarcastically, “I AM the Authority, you idiot.” Maybe Bill was giving us a bit of a revelation there.
Also, going back to S2, I remember being very surprised when Eric gave Lala his blood to help heal his gunshot wound. Lala was surprised too, because he asked Eric why he wanted to help him. Eric said, “You are important to Sookie, and what is important to Sookie, I find… curious.” That seemed out of character for Eric, to offer his ancient blood to a human he had previously tortured for selling V. Did Eric have any suspicions at the time about Lala’s true value, or his value to Bill? Having Eric’s blood certainly saved Lala’s life in Hot Shot in S3, but did Eric give Lala his blood as a preemptive move against Bill? Eric must know more about Bill.
Thanks DeeDee! I now believe that once Eric tasted Lala’s blood, he knew there was ‘magic’ in him. For this reason, he would be highly valuable to Bill and thus in need of protection. Giving him his blood would go a long way towards that.
WOW! I just made the list of plots that we have identified (theorized for some):
1) (confirmed) Getting the same rights as humans ==> LEGAL access to spheres of the power
2) (confirmed) mind-control experiments ==> see advantages of No. 1!
3) (assumed) Synthesis of fairy blood – breeding program
4) (assumed) Genocide – creating a new / improved species
If all this does not sound like the ingredients for a recipe to conquer the world, so I do not know what it is!
I think Jason is so flipping close to breaking through the fog and saving his sister. He prolly going to need an assist from Eric but my God is he close. didn’t he say that no one would believe him. Didn’t he ask Jess what Bill is doing for Sookie? I swear on all that I love he is going to figure it out, which would make sense coming from the village idiot.
If Jason is close to figuring out what has happened to the town and Sookie, then Eric should be close to figuring it out too.
“village idiot” LMAO
I agree. Jason is the only one who indicates any kind of bewilderment over the goings-on in Bon Temps.
I’m still trying to figure out how Eric could ask ‘how is it possible’ that Sookie could still love Bill. It’s like he has no idea what’s happened to her? IDK, but the continuing portrayal of Eric as mostly clueless is getting on my nerves.
@sunny
That’s true about Eric being portrayed as mostly clueless. Not only in this instance.
He has been portrayed that way a number of times. The only reason that makes any sense is pov. Because seriously, he’s 1000 yrs. old. Would a vampire thick as a brick survive that long? Even the flashback of Godric and Eric in WW11 garb and the Were rang odd. All those centuries and Godric never taught him about emotions and patience and he never absorbed the lesson? It was as if Godric was speaking to a newly turned baby vamp.
It has to be pov for the most part, but I think the WWII flashback was more about Eric making himself accessible to Sookie.
As for the present day, I can’t help but think Eric and Pam have been playing Bill this whole time. There is no way I believe they are so cozy with Bill after he tried to kill them both. ie, Eric taking up for Bill with Nan, Pam being so ready to join Bill’s war, yadda yadda.
Mirrors within mirrors again?
BTW any thoughts on the pic of the homestead promo I mentioned at TAP?
What do you think it means?
I’m not sure as yet. I just noticed it this morning when I was catching up? There is an element of the “unreal” about it, but I can’t seem to make a connection yet to Sookie’s pic. Thinking out loud, paintings are two dimensional, there’s no hyper realism about this one, it’s as if it’s in another reality/plane yet a full colour as opposed to the black and white drawing.
Do you remember in which ep we could get a good screencap of the pic in Sookie’s house? I can’t remember where it’s located–which room?
I’m trying to remember. It was in conjunction with the dancing furniture, maybe the living room above the TV? Sorry that’s the best I can do.
Here it is:
http://black-celebration.net/caps/displayimage.php?pid=951691&fullsize=1
I’ll try to find a better shot.
What was it Re said at the Art Gallery? He referred to Eric as nothing but a lump of muscle with a blood grudge, or words to that affect.
Exactly. It never hurts when your enemy underestimates you.
Bringing it down here BG. Another shot of the little house:
http://black-celebration.net/caps/displayimage.php?pid=951689&fullsize=1
I’m trying to find a close-up.
Wow. Even from that distance it looks like the full colour version.
If you go back to S2 would that help?
I remember Renee saying at one point that this pic morphed from a cabin into a Plantation house? I’m trying to figure out where we’ve seen it in season 4 so we can compare.
That’s exactly what I remembered. The morphing. Also discussing the room at the left entrance to Bill’s, the office, where the slave owner would conduct business.
The only times we’ve been in her house is when she first came back, Tara’s return then Alcide showing up and finally Jason showing up.
Here it is–can you tell anything about it?
http://ladymanson.com/galleries/tv/TVT/displayimage.php?pid=218340&fullsize=1
http://ladymanson.com/galleries/tv/TVT/displayimage.php?pid=218337&fullsize=1
If you open the two different images in two tabs and view them side by side, there are definite differences. As Renee pointed out before, the split rail wooden fencing of the ‘cabin’ image is gone and there appears to be columns on the building now.
Unfortunately I can barely see it. Tried lightening but I can’t see it well enough.
Are we seeing an alternate reality? Eric’s statement that there are 2 sookie’s.
Sookie seeing the faeries after her when Tara first arrives at her house. Just throwing things against the wall.
Just throwing things against the wall.
And I think it will stick. Add in the time warp and the ‘stage plays’ and I think we’re looking at something like a holographic universe from Sookie’s pov.
During the last 5 episodes I have screamed at the tv “give her back her house” to keep Bill from running in and out like he owns the place.
And isn’t that convenient.
Think of this–the house was finished THE DAY she arrived back home. Only Bill could have known when she would come back from her ‘trip’.
Hooray….now what? lol
So if Bill knew when she would be back and Eric supposedly owns the house, he’s not the real Eric? I’m confuzzled.
The fae did prove that they could change their appearance.
I think it’s MORE than possible that Bill bought and restored her house–the grey painted cement blocks in both basements are identical– and commanded Eric to tell Sookie he is the one who bought it. This gives Bill the appearance of having stood back to give Sookie her freedom while still maintaining ‘owernership’. Having the power to rescind her invitation was the only power Sookie had against Bill, now gone just as Eric told her. This was also the entire reason for Eric’s badly out of place ‘I own you’ spiel. He was telling Sookie what BILL thought of the act of buying her house out from under her. No way Bill didn’t get the jump on Eric–Bill knew when Sookie would disappear and Eric did not, so Bill was prepared.
That would also explain his non help help when Sookie came to see him. That was the lamest excuse.
Sorry to go over all this again, but I guess it doesn’t hurt to revue.
Not at all. We have to keep evolving with new information; constant revue is needed to put everything into context.
As for Eric not owning the house, he still took utmost advantage of the situation. That’s why I still say he was FAE because that amnesia was just too convenient, coming along as it did right when Sookie needed a champion. And Eric knew Bill would get his blood into Sookie again by hook or crook, so HE was johnny-on-the-spot and inoculated her against Bill’s poison. She may still be confused and ‘forgetful’ but there are definite cracks in the wall.
At the end of the season would it be possible for you to put in a post a revue/refresh of the season putting all that’s been discovered? That’s a lot to ask I know……but pretty please.
It’s not a lot to ask. I’ve been planning a sort of ‘the story so far’ post, putting all we know or surmise into some kind of overview. It’ll probably be a week or two after the finale, though. Still waiting for some big reveals, including: bullet sucking, maenad ritual, Gran’s murder, further insight into the Ratt reveal, Bill’s involvement with the entity who has taken over Marnie [and has overpowered Antonia and using her for her necromancy skills] Bill setting Eric up to take the fall for multiple murders and/or getting him killed by Sookie’s hand, and Bill’s plot to mind-control all of Bon Temps.
Sounds like a Christmas list to me. Santa AB may deliver some but……..
Oops. And thankyou for doing that.
I’ve gotten too used to the edit your post at Tap. lol.
